RFI for Corporate Benchmarking Services

The Los Angeles Department of Water and Power (LADWP) is seeking information and feedback to assist in conducting a market survey, determining industry interest, obtaining high-level cost estimates, and gathering information on potential new technologies or approaches for corporate benchmarking services. The RFI aims to gather information on the availability of benchmarking services, including software vendors and strategic partners, to support LADWP's corporate benchmarking efforts. The department is looking for both software vendors to provide direct access to benchmarking databases and strategic partners to perform custom data integration, advanced analytics, and gap analyses. Key aspects of the RFI include: • Conducting a market survey to determine the level of industry interest • Obtaining high-level cost estimates for budget purposes • Gathering information on potential new technologies or approaches • Understanding the availability of benchmarking services, including software vendors and strategic partners • Determining the importance of peer characteristics, such as municipal utility status, California or Southwestern geography, and combined water and power operations • Identifying the primary decisions that the benchmarking function will support, such as operational improvement, budget planning, target setting, strategic planning, procurement strategy, or executive performance reporting
