Description
The State of Iowa Department of Administrative Services (DAS) is seeking professional design services for the replacement of the existing sally port gates at the Fort Dodge Correctional Facility. The project includes designing new gates with options for increasing the height and width, and providing construction administration services. The selected firm will be responsible for providing a detailed design schedule, attending design kick-off meetings, and conducting field examinations of the existing buildings. The firm will also be required to provide cost estimating, status reporting, and cost reporting procedures.
• The project requires the design of new sally port gates with options for increasing the height and width.
• The firm will be responsible for providing construction administration services, including creation of the submittal and closeout items log, review of and responses to submittals and closeout documentation, RFIs, proposal requests, change orders, pay applications, periodic site visits, attendance at project meetings as required, participation/development of contractor punch list, closeout documentation review and approval, certificates of substantial completion, and certificates of final completion.
• The firm will be required to provide a detailed design schedule, attend design kick-off meetings, and conduct field examinations of the existing buildings.
• The firm will be required to provide cost estimating, status reporting, and cost reporting procedures.
• The firm will be required to provide a copy of their organizational chart and describe their experience in designing similar or relevant projects for the State of Iowa.
