Description
The Indian Health Service is seeking sources for medical physics testing services for the Wagner IHS Healthcare Center in Wagner, SD. The contractor will provide medical physics services, including reviewing and recommending improvements to radiology programs, evaluating compliance with policies and procedures, and conducting radiation safety surveys. The contractor will also provide consultation to assure an optimized balance between image quality and patient dose. The period of performance is from June 15, 2026, to May 31, 2027.
• The contractor shall conduct "Optimizing Patient Dose" and "Staff Exposures" activities, including reviewing and recommending improvements to radiology programs.
• The contractor shall evaluate patient dose/Entrance Skin Exposure with comparison to FDA NEXT or equivalent diagnostic reference levels.
• The contractor shall provide consultation to assure an optimized balance between image quality and patient dose.
• The contractor shall conduct "Device Performance" and "Quality Control Measures" activities, including verifying that new equipment meets manufacturer specifications and regulatory requirements.
