Campus Wide Mechanical Insulation Services as Needed

The University of Iowa is seeking a qualified supplier to provide mechanical insulation services on an as-needed basis. The supplier will be responsible for providing insulation services for steam and condensate piping and fittings, as well as other related services. The university requires the supplier to have prior experience in providing similar services, and to be certified by the National Insulation Association (NIA) as an Insulation Energy Appraiser or equivalent. The supplier will be required to provide a detailed description of their experience, capabilities, and pricing for the services. The university also requires the supplier to provide a sample of their estimated annual savings report. • The contract will be for a period of one year, with the option to extend for four additional one-year periods. • The university reserves the right to accept or reject any or all proposals. • The supplier will be required to provide a warranty on their work and services. • The university requires the supplier to have adequate labor and equipment resources to execute the service needs outlined in the RFP.
