Distribution Substation Maintenance, Inspection, & Construction Services

The City of Georgetown is seeking a qualified contractor to provide maintenance, inspection, testing, and commissioning services for distribution substations operating at 12.5 kV and 24.9 kV. The contractor will be responsible for performing monthly visual inspections, annual trip/close checks, and 5-year comprehensive maintenance on circuit breakers and relays. The contractor will also be required to provide emergency services, testing and commissioning, and construction services as needed. The city reserves the right to award multiple contracts. Key aspects of the job include: • Maintenance and inspection of feeder breakers, protective relays, and SCADA equipment • Testing and commissioning of distribution substations • Construction services, including installation of new equipment and upgrades to existing systems • Emergency services, including support for outage restoration and storm response • Compliance with NERC, IEEE, ANSI, NETA, OSHA, and City of Georgetown Electric Utility standards
