FY26 CAIC_ ITN_Avalanche Information and Distribution system

The State of Colorado, Department of Natural Resources, is seeking a vendor to provide expert-level maintenance, operational support, and targeted enhancements for the Avalanche Information and Distribution system (AvID). The selected vendor will be required to provide a highly experienced developer or developers to ensure the platform remains stable, secure, and keeps up with technological advancements. The scope of work includes diagnosing and resolving bugs, providing on-call support, performing security updates, and monitoring system health and performance. The vendor will also be responsible for designing, developing, and documenting new API endpoints and features, enhancing and building new React-based applications, and refactoring existing code to improve performance and maintainability. • The AvID system is a suite of web-based and mobile products used to disseminate safety information. • The system is built using Go and React, with a high-performance environment hosted on Amazon Web Services (AWS). • The vendor will be required to work with the CAIC to maximize cost savings and provide expert-level maintenance and operational support. • The contract will be for a period of 10 years, with the option for up to 9 annual renewals. • The vendor will be required to provide a detailed project solution, including a description of their approach, methodology, and timeline. • The vendor will be evaluated based on their qualifications, experience, and project solution, as well as their hourly rate schedule.
