Description
The State of Alaska’s Department of Transportation & Public Facilities is seeking a qualified contractor to provide on‑call commercial air‑conditioning and refrigeration maintenance, diagnostics, troubleshooting, repair, and refrigerant services for multiple facilities in the Northern Region. Work will be performed only when a work order is issued, with rapid emergency response times (2 hours weekdays, 4 hours weekends/holidays) and includes preventive maintenance, after‑hours overtime, and travel to remote sites. The contract is “as‑needed,” indefinite in length, and requires the contractor to maintain a crew of at least three journey‑level HVAC/R mechanics, hold all required state licenses, EPA refrigerant certifications, and be able to meet security clearances. Bids are due October 20, 2026; award expected October 21, 2026; contract issuance November 2, 2026.
