Contactless Iris Collection Collaboration Event

The Contactless Iris Collection Collaboration Event is a solicitation by the USSOCOM Program Executive Office Tactical Information Systems (PEO-TIS) to host a series of events to study mobile devices for unaided iris localization and collection. The event aims to prove that contactless iris collection can reach matchable quality using native lighting sources on a mobile device. The event will include a collaboration event, submissions to the assessment event, and a downselect of respondents. The goal is to enter into non-Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) or FAR-based agreements with industry, academic, and national lab partners. Some key points to consider are: • The event will be held in person at SOFWERX and will have a virtual component. • The collaboration event will include a stakeholder overview, problem set, and breakout sessions. • The assessment event will include a one-on-one session with the USSOCOM evaluation panel to pitch, demonstrate, and discuss solutions. • The event is open to government, industry, academia, national labs, and non-traditional attendees. • Awardees may need to be compliant with NIST SP 800-171, Protecting Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) in Non-Federal Systems and Organizations.
