Description
The City of Columbus is seeking a qualified contractor to remove an existing Hippo Power Plant hydraulic/air/generator unit from a city‑owned 2020 Freightliner M2‑112 truck and install a new hydraulic, compressed‑air, and electrical system that meets specified performance criteria. The work includes complete disassembly, labeling of connections, reuse of existing hose reels and valves, installation of a 160 CFM under‑deck air compressor, tandem hydraulic pump (10 gpm @ 2000 rpm), VTECH 2 control module, Xantrex 3000‑W inverter, and associated wiring and pressure controls. The contractor must also handle transportation, insurance, and final delivery of the upgraded truck within 18 weeks of purchase order issuance.
• Remove existing Hippo Power Plant T4F unit while keeping it operational for return to the City.
• Install new air compressor, hydraulic pump, control system, inverter, and integrate with existing truck components.
• Provide all materials, labor, testing, and logistics for a fully functional retrofit truck delivered to the City’s Public Utilities Complex.
