Annual Requirements Contract for Aeration Basin Cleaning Services

The City of La Porte is seeking a qualified contractor to remove debris from three wastewater treatment plant aeration basins. The contractor will be required to provide a truck-mounted vacuum unit, laborers, onsite supervision, and necessary safety gear and equipment. The work must be performed in accordance with the city's scheduling demands and in a safe and timely manner. The contract is not exclusive, and the city reserves the right to utilize a secondary contractor if necessary. • The contractor must be able to perform the work intermittently in periods of not less than 4 hours each. • The contractor must provide all necessary equipment and tools, including a jet/vacuum unit with a 500-gallon water tank capacity and a 10-12 yard capacity debris tank. • The contractor must adhere to all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations, including OSHA and the city's Confined Space Policy. • The contractor must be responsible for all equipment, tools, and PPE required to perform the work. • The contractor must provide a competent person to be present while workers are performing confined space work.
