Description
The Collier County Board of County Commissioners Procurement Services Division intends to designate a single source for the Event Impact Calculator (EIC) provided by Destination Marketing International Association (Destinations International). The EIC measures the economic value of an event and calculates its return on investment to local taxes. The calculator is updated annually and is utilized by over 300 destination organizations worldwide. The single source designation is proposed for a period from 11/14/2025 to 9/30/2029.
• The EIC is used for three types of activities: conferences/meetings, sports events, and arts and cultural events and festivals.
• The models and platform have been developed by Tourism Economics, an Oxford Economics Company.
