Description
The County is seeking a qualified contractor to replace the existing cooling tower and associated mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems at the Missoula County Detention Facility, with an optional water‑cooled chiller addition. The work includes demolition of existing equipment, drilling and installation of a groundwater supply and injection well system, installation of new heat exchangers, pumps, glycol feeder, controls, and full electrical service, as well as site restoration and testing.
• Demolition of cooling tower, boiler, chiller, pumps, and related piping.
• New groundwater well program (supply & injection wells) with directional‑drilled piping, submersible pump, and sand‑separator.
• Installation of water‑cooled chiller, plate heat exchangers, pumps, glycol feeder, temperature controls, VFDs, and associated electrical work.
• Full testing, commissioning, and warranty provision; compliance with Montana prevailing‑wage, resident‑preference, and insurance/bond requirements.
