Notice of Intent to Sole Source for Virtually Imaged Phase Arrays

The National Institute of Standards and Technology intends to procure Virtually Imaged Phased Arrays (VIPAs) on a sole source basis with Lightmachinery, Inc. The VIPAs will be used for time-resolved frequency comb spectroscopy on gas-phase samples and plasma samples. The project requires six VIPAs with different wavelength ranges: two VIPAs with a range of 2600 nm to 3100 nm, two VIPAs with a range of 3000 nm to 3700 nm, and two VIPAs with a range of 3600 nm to 4600 nm. The VIPAs must have a line width of less than or equal to 75 MHz at specific wavelengths. Interested firms are encouraged to respond to this notice by submitting documentation that demonstrates how they can meet the minimum requirements and technical specifications. • The VIPAs will be used for research in the CHIPS Metrology Program. • The project requires six VIPAs with different wavelength ranges. • The VIPAs must have a line width of less than or equal to 75 MHz at specific wavelengths. • The contractor must deliver the VIPAs with warranty and FOB Destination delivery terms. • The contractor must provide documentation that demonstrates how they can meet the minimum requirements and technical specifications.
