Description
The State of Hawaii Department of Transportation is soliciting bids for the Kaumualii Highway drainage improvement project near the Omao Stream Bridge on Kauai. The work includes demolition of existing drainage structures, installation of a 42‑inch reinforced concrete pipe, construction of a manhole and inlet/outlet structures, placement of concrete aprons, asphalt paving, chain‑link fencing, erosion control, grading, and grassing. The estimated construction cost is $10‑$11 million. Bidders must hold a valid State of Hawaii General Engineering “A” license and submit a complete electronic proposal via HIePRO by the offer due date. A virtual pre‑bid conference is scheduled for October 8, 2026 (optional). Questions (RFIs) are due by October 15, 2026.
