Energy Storage Site License - MJ0107 - Technical Proposal Submission

The purpose of this Request for Proposal (RFP) is to solicit proposals from potential development partners to design, install, operate, and own a Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) on the California State Polytechnic, San Luis Obispo campus. The BESS should have a minimum size of 1 Megawatt, 4 Megawatt hours, and will be used for peak shaving. The project involves the installation and operation of the BESS, and the selected proposer will be responsible for the design, installation, operation, and maintenance of the system. • The BESS will be used to provide peak shaving, reducing the campus's energy consumption during peak hours. • The proposer will be responsible for the design, installation, operation, and maintenance of the BESS. • The campus is seeking a minimum size of 1 Megawatt, 4 Megawatt hours for the BESS. • The project involves the installation and operation of the BESS on the California State Polytechnic, San Luis Obispo campus. • The selected proposer will be required to coordinate with campus stakeholders for site access, staging, and storage arrangements during construction.
