Description

University of North Dakota is seeking a qualified vendor to supply an Inductively Coupled Plasma Mass Spectrometer (ICP‑MS) system that meets detailed technical specifications, along with associated training and documentation. The contract is a sealed‑bid (RFB) procurement; all bids must be submitted electronically via the UND Jaggaer portal by the deadline. The equipment must be NRTL‑certified, comply with U.S. export‑control regulations, and be delivered and ready for use by April 30, 2026. The vendor must also provide a signed bidder information page and ensure all costs (including required certifications) are included, with sales tax removed. • Supply a fully‑specified ICP‑MS instrument (mass range 2‑260 amu, 11‑order dynamic range, low‑background, high‑throughput autosampler). • Provide on‑site or remote training for UND personnel. • Meet NRTL certification, export‑control (EAR/ITAR) disclosures, and deliver the system by 30 April 2026. • Submit a complete, tax‑exempt quote and signed bid documents through the UND supplier portal by 16 April 2026 2:00 PM CDT. • Contact Samuel Kontz for any clarification; all questions must be submitted before the bid deadline.

Budget estimate

$150,000 – $600,000

Based on market data, a high‑end ICP‑MS system with the required autosampler, software, and training typically costs between $150,000 and $500,000. Adding training and ancillary services could push the total toward $600,000 at the high end. Therefore, the expected contract value likely falls in the $150K‑$600K range, depending on the vendor’s configuration and warranty options.
