McEver Baseball Fields Rooftop Solar and Solar Field Lighting

The Town of Davidson is seeking design-build services for the installation of rooftop solar with battery storage at the McEver Baseball Field concession stand building and the upgrade of current baseball field lighting for one field to solar field lighting. The project aims to reduce greenhouse gas emissions through the addition of renewable energy. The selected team will provide design documents, construction documents, planning, scheduling, permitting, interconnection, construction, and post-construction deliverables. The project budget is $400,000, and the selected team will be required to obtain a performance bond for 100% of the contract price. • The project requires experience in installing rooftop solar plus battery storage and athletic field lighting. • The team must comply with the terms and conditions of the subgrant documentation, including Davis Bacon Requirement, Buy American Requirement, and 2 CFR 200.323 Procurement of recovered materials. • The proposal should include a team profile, information about the project team and consultants, experience in similar projects, proposed design and installation approach, and a cost itemized breakdown. • The town will evaluate proposals based on the experience of the project team and consultants, experience in rooftop solar projects with battery storage, experience in athletic solar field lighting projects, proposed approach and timeline, design cost, and MWSBE participation.
