CHIPS R&D Optical frequency comb, Control electronics

The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) is seeking a vendor to provide a CHIPS R&D optical frequency comb and control electronics. The solicitation includes five contract line items: a mid-infrared femtosecond laser source system, femtosecond laser control electronics, an ultrastable laser system, shipping, and other related transportation expenses. The vendor must provide a firm-fixed-price quotation for each line item and demonstrate their technical capability and prior experience in delivering similar instruments. The Government will evaluate the quotations based on technical capability, prior demonstrated experience, and price. • The mid-infrared femtosecond laser source system must be tunable from 2.6 μm to 3.0 μm and 4.8 μm to 5.2 μm, with a pulse bandwidth of at least 50 cm−1 and an average power of at least 25 mW. • The femtosecond laser control electronics must be able to operate in both XCL and XCT modes. • The ultrastable laser system must be able to provide a stable frequency reference. • The vendor must provide a detailed technical approach and capability documentation, including a narrative, charts, graphs, tables, drawings, product literature, and demonstrated authority to provide the necessary items and perform the required services. • The vendor must also provide prior experience in delivering, installing, and providing warranty and service contracts for similar instruments.
