The City of Redding is soliciting bids for the complete replacement of the Burney Library roof, installation of a 26‑module photovoltaic solar array, and addition of a standby diesel generator with associated fuel and control systems. The scope includes demolition of existing roof components, structural concrete work for a generator foundation, full roofing system (composite shingle roof, metal trim, roof heat tape, ridge vent), electrical distribution upgrades, PV racking, inverter, panelboard, conduit, and an automatic transfer switch. The contract is a fixed‑price, lump‑sum public‑works bid with a base schedule of 50 working days (≈ 10 weeks) and up to 75 working days if all optional alternates are funded.
