Pre-Treatment Sedimentation Piloting Unit Rental

The City of Douglas is soliciting proposals for the provision of a pre-treatment piloting unit for the City's Water Treatment Plant. The unit should have a rapid mix basin, flocculation basin, plate sedimentation step, sludge collections system, chemical feed equipment, and control systems. The selected vendor will be responsible for delivering the equipment, providing start-up and training services, and providing technical support. The project is expected to begin in late May 2026 and last for approximately 3 months. The City is looking for a vendor with experience in similar projects, and the proposal should include a description of the treatment equipment, technical requirements, and project approach. • The pre-treatment piloting unit should be able to treat a minimum and maximum GPM required for the unit. • The unit should have a chemical feed system and be able to collect continuous operational turbidity data. • The vendor should provide a finalized report detailing piloting operations during the testing period. • The proposal should include a transmittal letter, project understanding, company information, experience, and technical data. • The City will evaluate proposals based on the ability to meet the project schedule, experience with similar projects, and proposed fee.
