The purpose of this Invitation for Bid (IFB) is to seek competitive bids from qualified vendors to furnish and deliver a 2026 Type 2 Ambulance for Richmond Community College. The ambulance will be used for an EMS Program and will serve as an office for a paramedic, housing all necessary medical supplies. The vehicle must meet specific requirements, including interior head clearance, ALS bag storage, and oxygen tank storage. The successful bidder will be required to provide a contract manager and customer service point of contact.
Key features and requirements of the ambulance include:
• Interior head clearance of at least 69 inches
• ALS bag storage with at least 3 height-adjustable shelves
• Oxygen tank storage with access from the sliding side door
• Stair chair and spine board storage
• Lonseal type flooring
• Cabinetry with no sharp corners
• Action wall with a second conversion battery
• 110V/15A duplex outlet and 12V outlet
• 12v powered suction system
• Ambulance control systems and inverter control panels
• Oxygen outlets with Ohmeda-style bayonet plate fittings
• 3 or 5-point harness equipped airway seat
• Storage cabinets and shelves
• Fire extinguisher and sharps container
