Notice of Intent to Sole Source for Extended Trial License Hardware -Accelerated Electromagnetic Simulation Software

The National Institute of Standards and Technology's Physical Measurement Lab is seeking a sole source contract for hardware-accelerated electromagnetic simulation software. The software should have advanced geometry optimization capability and be able to perform detailed photonic device simulation and optimization in a GPU-accelerated high-performance computing system. The contractor shall deliver a trial license installation for a minimum of 3 user licenses for the simulation software, for a trial period of a minimum of 10 months. • The software should have forward simulation, creation of adjoint source for the adjoint simulation, adjoint simulation, and gradient calculation from the two simulation solutions. • The software should be able to perform detailed photonic device simulation and optimization in a GPU-accelerated high-performance computing system. • The contractor should provide documentation that clearly demonstrates how the minimum requirements and technical specifications will be met.
