Description
The City of Tacoma is soliciting proposals to supply a complete turn‑key solution for two FRA‑compliant battery‑electric locomotives and two high‑power reverse‑pantograph charging stations, plus associated shop‑chargers, documentation, training, and warranty support. The contract includes design, manufacturing, testing, delivery, installation, and long‑term support, with strict compliance to FRA safety standards, Buy‑America requirements, and environmental regulations.
• Deliver two 2000 hp‑equivalent battery‑electric locomotives with 1.8‑2.4 MWh battery packs and CCB26 brake system.
• Provide two ≥750 kW reverse‑pantograph charging stations (or approved alternatives) and a 480 V shop charger.
• Offer full documentation, on‑site training for Tacoma Rail staff, warranty coverage, and compliance certifications (FRA Letter of Concurrence, UL‑9540/9540A, NFPA 855).
