Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking a qualified contractor to provide elevator maintenance and repair services at the Hot Springs VA Medical Center and the Fort Meade VA Medical Center in South Dakota. The contract will be for a base year and four option years. The contractor will be responsible for providing routine maintenance, emergency repairs, and semi-annual inspections. The contractor must have experience working with various manufacturers' equipment and must provide proof of current service mechanics certification.
• The contractor will provide bi-weekly full maintenance inspections of cable-type elevators and monthly full maintenance inspections of hydraulic elevators.
• The contractor will provide a four-hour response time for call back service and will be on site within this time frame unless the situation is not considered an emergency.
• The contractor will participate in semi-annual 3rd party elevator inspections and will provide all labor and materials for the inspections.
• The contractor will maintain a supply of replacement parts in their warehouse inventory to minimize down time on emergency call backs.
