Oral Examination Rating Services

The Office of Court Administration (OCA) seeks proposals for examination rating services for the oral examination for licensing language interpreters for court proceedings. The selected approved Raters will receive compensation for each examination rated in accordance with the contract and the NCSC State Court Interpreter Testing Desk Reference Manual. The contract period is from January 26, 2026, to August 31, 2027, with the option to extend for up to two terms of one year each. • The examination is developed by the National Center for State Courts (NCSC) and must be rated by a Rater approved by NCSC. • The JBCC has a specific need for approved Raters to rate oral examinations in Spanish, Korean, Mandarin, and Vietnamese. • The selected Raters will be responsible for ensuring the security of test materials and complying with all requirements for the transportation and communication of test materials. • The contract will be awarded based on the best value for the state, considering factors such as experience, qualifications, and proposed fee.
