Description
Sam Houston State University is seeking a qualified contractor to provide "as needed" carpentry services on various campuses. The contractor will be responsible for providing all labor, equipment, and materials necessary to complete the work. The services will include rough and finished carpentry, framing, roofing, installation of doors and windows, and other related tasks. The contractor must comply with all applicable laws, regulations, and codes, and must obtain any necessary licenses or permits. The contract will be for a period of 18 months, with the option to renew annually for up to three additional years.
• The contractor will be required to start a project within one week of notification, unless an alternate lead time is requested by the University.
• The contractor will be required to provide a work schedule for each project and adhere to the normal business hours of the University.
• The contractor will be responsible for obtaining any necessary licenses or permits and complying with all applicable laws, regulations, and codes.
• The University reserves the right to make one or more awards based on low line item, low total of line items, or any other combination that will serve the best interests of the University.
