Helium Mass Spectrometer Leak Detector System

The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) is seeking information from sources that may be capable of providing a Helium Mass Spectrometer Leak Detector System. The system must employ a mass spectrometer able to detect He 4, include a dry pump, operate in both vacuum and sniffer mode, and have a helium pumping speed of ≥ 1 L/s and ≤ 10 L/s. The system must also have a minimum detectable leak of ≤ 5 × 10-12 mbar L/s (in vacuum mode) and ≤ 5 × 10-8 mbar L/s (in sniffer mode). Key features and requirements include: • Mobile system with integrated wheels or a suitable cart • Helium spray gun/probe and sniffer probe that is ≥ 10 ft long • Operation using standard US outlet power (110-120 V, 60 Hz) and 20 A maximum • Ability to provide standards for the metering of hazardous gases • Design and fabrication of two new experimental apparatus to safely measure gas properties The respondents should provide information about their company, the equipment they sell that can meet the objectives, technical specifications, performance capabilities, customization options, and any other relevant details.
