The National Park Service intends to award a task agreement under a previously competed or single source justified cooperative agreement for data management services for the Chihuahuan Desert I&M Network. The project aims to reconcile monitoring data with a new database, transition to new field data collection technology, and maintain databases that meet the integrity rules of the Inventory and Monitoring Division database standards. The recipient will provide research and technical assistance to the NPS for data management and administrative support for research activities. Key responsibilities include developing mobile applications for electronic data entry, providing data management and logistical support for binational research, and facilitating interdisciplinary activities and cooperation in environmental conservation.
Some key points to consider include:
• The project will be awarded to New Mexico State University.
• The anticipated federal funding is $48,844.
• The project period is from May 1, 2019, to September 30, 2020.
• The National Park Service will provide substantial involvement during the period of performance of this agreement.
• The project does not support any of the DOI Secretary priorities, but it is being funded for other reasons.
