Request for Qualifications: PW181 - On Call Professional Civil Engineering Services

The City of Sierra Vista is seeking statements of qualifications from Arizona licensed professional civil engineers to provide engineering design services for various City construction projects. The City intends to establish a nonexclusive “services-on-demand” retainer-type professional services contract(s) to reduce City administrative time and save funds. The scope of work includes grant writing, conceptual design and cost estimates, design concept reports, masterplans, preparation of bid documents, services during bidding, construction administration, construction inspections, and other miscellaneous consulting services. The City encourages businesses classified as DBEs, Small Business Enterprises (SBEs), and Minority Business owners to participate. Some key services that may be required include: • Sewer line repairs and extensions • Water line repairs and extensions • Minor Wastewater plant improvements • Roadway design • Site Plans • Surveying • Drainage and Hydrology • Traffic and Transportation Engineering • Parks Development • Landscape and Irrigation • Drafting Services • Construction Management Services The City will evaluate proposals based on factors such as capability to perform, experience, current workload, quality of projects, and understanding of the project's potential problems and the City's special concerns.
