Description
The Albany Stratton Veterans Administration Medical Center is seeking a vendor to provide treated bulk road salt for the 2026-2027 winter season. The contract will be a base plus four additional option years, with an estimated quantity of 210 tons per year. The bulk road salt must meet specific minimum requirements, including being granular sodium chloride treated with corrosion-inhibited liquid magnesium chloride. Deliveries must be made within 48 hours of each order and in approximately 20-ton increments.
• The contract is for OEM vendors only, but is unrestricted in business size.
• The road salt must be free of dirt, fiber, lint, rainwater, trash, or any other foreign matter.
• The vendor must provide a statement of capability and acknowledgement that deliveries can meet the minimum requirements.
• The contract will be performed at the Albany Stratton VAMC, located at 113 Holland Avenue, Albany, NY 12208.
