Description

The Public Utilities Commission of Ohio (PUCO) and the Ohio Power Siting Board (OPSB) are seeking supplemental court reporting services to be used on an “as‑needed” basis when their primary court reporting contractor cannot meet demand. Qualified vendors must be able to provide both stenographic (real‑time) and electronic/digital reporting for a variety of hearings, and must be competitively priced, responsible, and capable of rapid deployment. • Provide stenographic court reporting for adjudicatory, public, and judicial hearings. • Deliver electronic and digital transcripts promptly after each hearing. • Services are supplemental to an existing contract and will be called upon only when the primary supplier is unavailable; bidders must demonstrate the ability to respond quickly and meet quality standards.

Budget estimate

$5,000 – $25,000

The solicitation does not disclose a contract value. Typical supplemental court reporting assignments in Ohio range from a few hundred hours for a single hearing to multiple hearings over a contract year. Assuming an hourly rate of $100–$150 for certified reporters and an average of 30‑50 hours per assignment, a single call‑out could be valued around $5,000. If the contractor is called on multiple times throughout the solicitation period, total earnings could reach $20,000‑$30,000. Therefore, a reasonable estimate for the potential award is between $5,000 and $25,000, depending on the volume of supplemental work awarded.
