Description
Township of Mantua is seeking a qualified attorney or law firm to serve as its Special Solicitor for Affordable Housing. The contractor will provide legal advice, draft ordinances and resolutions, represent the township in state‑agency proceedings and litigation, and advise municipal officials on all affordable‑housing matters for a one‑year term. The solicitation requires a full cost proposal (hourly rates, meeting fees, travel, etc.) and extensive compliance documentation (non‑collusion affidavit, stockholder disclosure, insurance, EEO/ADA certifications). The award will be made by resolution of the Township Committee, subject to fund availability, and performance will be reviewed annually.
• Provide legal representation and counsel on affordable‑housing programs, including appearances before state agencies and courts.
• Draft and review municipal ordinances, resolutions, contracts, and other legal documents related to affordable housing.
