Preventative Maintenance Services - Auke Bay Laboratory in Juneau, Alaska

The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) is seeking a contractor to provide preventative maintenance services at the Auke Bay Laboratory in Juneau, Alaska. The contractor will work with the facilities staff to identify and address potential issues with building systems and equipment through routine maintenance and scheduled maintenance tasks. The contractor will also provide general labor to assist with maintenance, repairs, and groundskeeping. The contract has a base period of one year, with two option years, and the contractor will work up to 40 hours per week. Some key responsibilities include: • Assistance for maintenance staff performing basic plumbing, electrical, and carpentry maintenance and repair tasks • Repairs to seawater systems and associated components, building support systems, wet lab aquaria systems, laboratory equipment and support systems, freezers, and HVAC systems • Maintenance to trails, grounds, lawn and landscape and repair and snow removal, on an as needed basis • Operation of heavy equipment to assist with site preparation and improvements The ideal contractor will have experience performing similar services, and will be able to provide a detailed technical approach write-up describing how they plan to perform the tasks listed in the Statement of Work.
