Description
The City of Salina is seeking a qualified contractor to paint and coat the North Ohio Overpass, including bridge fencing, light poles, concrete barriers, previously painted concrete surfaces, and the railroad rail on the pedestrian barrier. The work requires extensive surface preparation (high‑pressure water‑blast, power‑tool cleaning, hand‑tool cleaning) and the application of a high‑performance epoxy/fluoropolymer coating system supplied by Tnemec. The contract includes mobilization, traffic control, painting, and hazardous‑waste containment/disposal. The project must meet SSPC/NACE surface‑preparation standards, adhere to strict environmental conditions, and pass a one‑year post‑completion inspection.
• Scope: Full surface preparation and coating of bridge fencing, light poles/bollards, concrete barriers, concrete surfaces, and railroad rail.
• Technical: Use Tnemec epoxy primer (Series N69) and fluoropolymer or acrylic finish systems; VOC limits and volume‑solid requirements specified.
