The Defense Health Agency (DHA) intends to award a sole-source contract for Chemistry/Immunoassay analyzer lease services and required reagents/consumables. The contract will include installation of the system, analyzer, workstation, monitor, and Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS). The contractor will furnish all labor, materials, transportation, and replacement parts to lease and maintain the analyzer. The system must meet specific requirements, including handling various sample collection tubes, having Autocal option for specific chemistry assays, and providing sample management with clot detection, foam detection, liquid Level-Sensing, and short-sample detection.
Some key features of the required system include:
• Integrated system using Sample-Centered technology
• Capacity for 750 tests/hour on Chemistry and 120 tests per hour for immunoassay
• On-board test capacity of 73 reagent positions for multiple assays
• Ability to run up to 10 user-defined assays at one time
• Flexible processing for routine and STAT testing
• Capability to handle all routine sample collection tubes plus other various sized sample containers
• Autocal option for specific chemistry assays
• Positive patient identification via on-board barcode scanner
• Turnaround time for a single result of 2.5 to 27 minutes
• Ability to utilize Photometric measuring unit and Electrochemiluminescence (ECL) technology measuring unit
• On-board dilution capability
• Self-monitoring and alert operators to prompt action, avoiding testing delays
• Disposable tips, deep tube sample metering, automated sample status checks, Intelligent error recovery, self-diagnostics
• Sample management with clot detection, foam detection, liquid Level-Sensing, short-sample detection
• Ability to determine hemolysis, icterus, and turbidity levels
• Flagging only assays affected by interference and sending notification to LIS or data management system
