HSIP TRAFFIC SAFETY IMPROVEMENT PROJECT

The City of Milpitas is seeking proposals for the Highway Safety Improvement Project (HSIP) Traffic Safety Improvement Project. The project involves implementing systemic improvements at 72 signalized intersections and safety improvements at 3 unsignalized intersections and a roadway segment with a history of fatal and severe crashes. The work includes signal modifications, installation of signage, daylighting, beacons, and safety improvements of a horizontal curve along McCarty Blvd. The selected proposer will need to comply with all Federal and Caltrans Local Assistance Procedures Manual (LAPM) requirements. The scope of services includes NEPA clearance and engineering design services. • The project requires a minimum of $2.064 million in grant funding with a local match of $229,370. • The proposer must have experience in providing similar services. • The proposer must demonstrate the ability to meet the project's objectives in a cost-effective and timely manner. • The proposer must provide a detailed work plan, including a project manager and key personnel. • The proposer must comply with all applicable laws, regulations, and requirements.
