Description
Los Angeles County is seeking a qualified contractor to provide third‑party administration (TPA) services for its self‑insured workers’ compensation program. The contractor will manage the full lifecycle of workers’ compensation claims, ensuring compliance with Los Angeles Code Section 5.31.050 and delivering timely benefits to injured employees. The scope includes claim intake, investigation, medical management, legal representation, payment processing, reporting, and coordination with the County’s safety program. This is a competitive RFP; bidders must demonstrate experience in workers’ compensation TPA, robust claims handling systems, and the ability to manage a high volume of claims for a large public employer.
• Administer and process all workers’ compensation claims for Los Angeles County employees
• Provide medical case management, legal defense, and benefits administration
• Ensure compliance with state and local regulations (LA Code §5.31.050)
• Deliver regular performance and financial reporting to the County’s Director of Personnel/CEO
• Maintain secure data systems and protect confidential employee information
• Demonstrate prior experience with large‑scale public‑sector self‑insured workers’ comp programs
