Description
The City of Cincinnati is seeking bids for the Mount Hope, Warsaw, Ring Water Main Replacement project. The project involves furnishing all materials, labor, and equipment and performing all work necessary to install ductile iron pipe and fittings, copper pipe and fittings, and other work necessary or incidental to the installation of the proposed water main. The estimated quantities indicated will be used solely for the purpose of making a tabulation of the bids. Bidders are to complete the Excel pricing sheet in the shaded areas. Prices bid are firm and fixed for the project. The City reserves the right to review substitutions offered and may, based solely on its judgment, elect to award based on the offered substitution. The City shall award the contract to the lowest and best responsive bidder.
• The project includes the replacement of private lead service lines, which will only be performed at addresses where a signed agreement is made between GCWW and the homeowner.
• The City will require surety for, and will certify funds for, 100% of the estimated private lead service line replacement work in advance.
• The successful bidder will be required to provide surety for 100% of the estimated private lead service line replacement work at the time of contract execution.
• The City has established M/WBE subcontracting percentages, which apply to the entire bid.
• The bidder must verify that each M/WBE to be used on a contract is certified by the time of bid closing.
• The City maintains a list of vendors debarred from contracting or subcontracting with the City, and the bidder must verify that each subcontractor it proposes to use is an eligible firm or person.
