Description
The U.S. Army Contracting Command - Detroit Arsenal is seeking bids for the design and fabrication of Lightweight Multipurpose Shelters (LMS) Type I and Type III. The shelters are designed for transport on the M1152A1 and M1152A1 with B2 Armor Kit High Mobility Multi-Purpose Wheeled Vehicle (HMMWV) and are used to house battlefield electrical systems. The contractor shall supply all necessary personnel, facilities, equipment, and materials to accomplish the requirements set forth in the contract. The contract will be for a period of 5 years, with an option for renewal.
• The contractor shall design, manufacture, and furnish both variants of the LMS Shelter (Type I, Type III).
• The shelter shall meet the requirements of American Society of Testing and Materials (ASTM) E 2377-25 Standard Specification for Shelter, Electrical Equipment, Lightweight.
• The contractor shall provide a Technical Manual for each LMS delivered to the Government.
• The contractor shall participate in a Post Award Conference and Logistics Guidance Conference.
• The contractor shall provide meeting minutes and other documentation as required by the contract.
