The City of Zeeland is seeking proposals from qualified architectural firms to assist in implementing the recommendations identified in the recently completed Facilities Condition Audit and Space Use Analysis. The City intends to move from the planning and assessment phase to project development, prioritization, and execution of facility improvements to support long-term operational efficiency and community service delivery. The selected firm will be responsible for reviewing the completed Facilities Condition Audit and Space Use Analysis, meeting with City staff and leadership to confirm findings, goals, and priorities, and developing a structured implementation plan that aligns with City goals, funding availability, and community priorities. Some of the key services required include project review and validation, project prioritization and phasing, conceptual design and cost refinement, and implementation strategy and capital planning support. The City is looking for a firm with experience in similar municipal implementation projects, and the ability to demonstrate a clear understanding of the project objectives and City needs.
Some of the key facilities that will be involved in this project include:
- City Hall
- Howard Miller Library + Community Center
- Public Safety Building
- Roosevelt Fire Station
- Street Maintenance Building
The proposal should include a firm overview, project team, relevant experience, project approach, schedule, fee proposal, and references. The evaluation criteria will include understanding of project objectives and City needs, qualifications and experience of the project team, demonstrated success with similar municipal implementation projects, clarity and feasibility of proposed approach and timeline, and cost proposal and overall value to the City.
The City of Zeeland is committed to supporting the community through efficient and effective facility management, and this project is a key step in achieving that goal. The selected firm will play a critical role in helping the City to prioritize and implement facility improvements that will support long-term operational efficiency and community service delivery.
