RFP 902709 Forensic Toxicology Services

The County of Alameda is seeking a contractor to provide forensic toxicology testing services for the Alameda County Sheriff's Office's Crime Lab. The services include detection and identification of ethanol, drugs, and other chemicals in blood, urine, and other specimens. The contractor must provide accurate, timely, and legally defensible testing services, maintain strict chain of custody, regulatory compliance, data security, and quality standards. The contractor must also provide expert consultation, case support, and court testimony services. Some key requirements include: • Providing routine and specialized testing services • Maintaining a strict chain of custody for all specimens • Ensuring data security, confidentiality, and regulatory compliance • Providing expert consultation, case support, and court testimony services • Meeting required turnaround times for testing and reporting • Providing secure and reliable transportation services for specimens The contract will be for a three-year term with an option to renew.
