SafeCare Colorado Site Funding

The Colorado Department of Early Childhood (CDEC) is seeking to distribute funding to organizations to operate SafeCare Colorado sites during State Fiscal Year 2027. The selected organization will provide evidence-based, in-home support services to parents and caregivers of children from birth to age five, with the goal of preventing child abuse and neglect. The program will be implemented in collaboration with county child welfare departments and key community partners. The proposal should include a detailed work plan, budget, and letters of support from key community partners. • The SafeCare Colorado program provides direct skills training to parents and caregivers in three topic areas: home safety, child health, and parent-child interaction. • The program is designed to serve families with children aged five and younger, with a focus on those at risk of child abuse or neglect. • The selected organization will be responsible for recruiting and retaining families, collecting and maintaining data on program activities, and participating in continuous quality improvement and evaluation activities. • The contract term is anticipated to be July 1, 2026, through June 30, 2027, with the possibility of renewal for up to four additional one-year periods.
