RFP for OCEANSIDE OVERHEAD ARCHWAY MONUMENT ANALYSIS & DESIGN

The City of Oceanside is seeking proposals from architectural and engineering firms to conduct a location analysis and prepare artistic and structural designs for the proposed Oceanside Overhead Archway Monument. The project involves designing a unique overhead monument sign at a gateway location in the Downtown area, which will be completed in time for the 2028 Summer Olympics. The scope of services includes location analysis, community outreach, design development, and construction documentation. The selected consultant will be required to enter into a contractual agreement with the City, inclusive of insurance and indemnifications requirements. • The project requires a location analysis to determine the feasibility of constructing the monument at the preferred location. • The consultant must provide up to three design options for each component of the monument. • The consultant must conduct community outreach and engagement to gather feedback on the design options. • The consultant must prepare a final design package, including construction drawings and specifications. • The consultant must coordinate with City staff and other stakeholders to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
