Sale of Surplus Buses

Loudoun County Public Schools is requesting bids for the sale of surplus buses. The buses are being sold on an "as is, where is" basis, and the buyer will be responsible for removing the buses from the storage site. The buses can be viewed by appointment, and the buyer must submit their bid through the LCPS Electronic Bidding System. The contract period will be from the date of award until completion of the project, and the buyer will be required to indemnify and hold harmless the seller for any claims or injuries that may arise out of the sale or use of the buses. • The buses are being sold with no warranty, and the buyer will be responsible for determining the extent of any corrosion and its impact on the life of the vehicle. • The buyer must remove the buses from the storage site by May 29, 2026, or be subject to a storage charge of $50.00 per vehicle per calendar day. • The buyer must pay for the buses in full within 7 calendar days of the award, and the payment must be made by Money Order, Certified Check, or Cashier's Check. • The buyer will be required to execute an Agreement of Sale, which will include provisions for the sale of the buses, the removal of the buses from the storage site, and the indemnification of the seller.
