Description
The Port Huron Area School District is seeking a qualified contractor to provide a turnkey design, installation, testing, commissioning, and documentation services for Public Safety Bi-Directional Amplifier (BDA) systems at two school locations: Port Huron Northern High School and Holland Woods Middle School. The primary objectives of this project are to improve public safety radio signal coverage within the identified school facilities, provide reliable communication capabilities for first responders, and ensure the system complies with applicable codes and regulations. The contractor shall provide all necessary materials, labor, supervision, engineering, and services for a complete installation.
Some key requirements include:
• Performing site evaluation and signal analysis
• Developing final engineered design drawings
• Providing cable routing plans and antenna placement layouts
• Submitting all design documentation for approval prior to installation
• Installing all equipment neatly and professionally
• Coordinating installation schedules with school administration
• Following all OSHA safety requirements
• Maintaining a clean work environment
• Protecting existing building finishes and infrastructure
• Labeling all installed components and cabling
• Coordinating shutdowns or interruptions in advance
