Consultant for Polling and Research

Texas Southern University is seeking a consultant to provide polling and research services for the Barbara Jordan Public Policy Research and Survey Center. The consultant will be responsible for designing and implementing public opinion surveys, conducting advanced statistical analysis of survey data, producing high-quality research reports on Texas politics and public policy, and leading specialized projects. The consultant will also provide instruction and mentorship to undergraduate and graduate students, supervise student research projects, and collaborate with faculty on research initiatives. • Design and implement sophisticated public opinion surveys • Conduct advanced statistical analysis of survey data • Produce high-quality research reports on Texas politics and public policy • Lead specialized projects including State of Black Texas and Juneteenth research • Provide instruction and mentorship to undergraduate and graduate students • Supervise student research projects and training workshops • Collaborate with faculty on research initiatives • Conduct strategic media outreach to enhance institutional visibility • Provide expert commentary on Texas political developments • Represent TSU and the Barbara Jordan Center in public forums • Develop and maintain relationships with key media outlets • Raise awareness of Barbara Jordan Center programs and research • Enhance TSU’s reputation in political science and public policy • Develop partnerships with other research institutions and organizations • Contribute to grant writing and funding acquisition efforts
