Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs, VISN 7, is seeking information on qualified contractors capable of supplying Blood and Blood-Related Products in accordance with the Statement of Work. The contractor will be required to provide whole blood, red blood cells, fresh frozen plasma, platelets, and other blood components, as well as associated testing and laboratory services. The contract will be for a period of 5 years, with an estimated start date of June 01, 2026. The contractor will be required to deliver blood and blood components to VA medical centers in Alabama, Georgia, and South Carolina.
Some key requirements include:
• Providing blood and blood components that meet FDA and AABB regulations
• Maintaining accurate and complete records of blood and blood component inventory
• Providing emergency services 24/7
• Participating in blood donor drives at VA medical centers
• Complying with VA information and information system security and privacy policies
