Instructor for Competent Person Trenching Class

The Iowa Department of Transportation is seeking a vendor to provide an Instructor for a Competent Person Trenching Class. The purpose of this training is to provide Iowa DOT participants with the knowledge and skills required to serve as a Competent Person for trenching and excavation activities, in compliance with OSHA standards. The vendor must provide an overall price for 6 separate classes, one at each of the locations listed. The classes must be completed by May 29, 2026, and the vendor must include all travel expenses for instructors and all student materials/certification cards in their bid. • The classes will be taught in a classroom environment only, with no language accommodations required. • The vendor must provide training materials, competent person certification, and attendance roster and evaluation forms. • The bid must include a price for 6 separate classes, one at each location, with a count of 30 student employees in each class.
