MultiPrep™ Precision Polishing System with Touchscreen for 8" Platen

The NASA/NSSC is seeking a high-precision 8” polishing system with a touchscreen for delicate microscopic sample preparation. The system should have the ability to eliminate user variability through high-precision, semiautomatic controls and provide features such as precision "pitch and roll" micrometers, 1 micron resolution for tracking material removal, and independent control over sample oscillation and rotation. The system should also have a dual camera system for precise sample alignment and photo-documentation. • The system must have precision "pitch and roll" micrometers for angular positioning adjustments in fine increments. • The system must provide 1 micron resolution for tracking material removal in real time. • The system must allow for preset specific removal amounts, enabling unattended operation once the target depth is reached. • The system must have a drive specifically designed for delicate, unencapsulated TEM wedge thinning. • The system must allow for quick removal of sample fixtures for inspection and exact repositioning afterward.
