The City of Detroit is seeking implementation partners to provide low-barrier access to health care services, including medications for opioid use disorder (MOUD), to individuals experiencing unsheltered homelessness. The project aims to increase access to health care services for underserved Detroiters by meeting them where they are and offering low-barrier, walk-in options. Respondents can propose a broad range of low-barrier, walk-in clinic and street medicine models to achieve these goals.
• The project will have a particular focus on serving individuals experiencing unsheltered homelessness and serving both their physical health needs and behavioral health needs.
• Respondents should propose strategies and tactics that will have the greatest impact on clients.
• The City will prioritize proposals that permit an individual who returns to use to reengage in treatment and remain in treatment or supports such an individual by helping place them in inpatient treatment.
• The City will also prioritize proposals from non-profit organizations and organizations that actively engage individuals experiencing homelessness and have an extensive history of serving this population.
